Maxwell Mozart

Maxwell loves music of all kinds. He loves Aunt Stes' country music, the normal music his parents listen to, children's music and church music. Honestly there isn't a type of music he doesn't enjoy although there are individual songs he dislikes. Many times when he gets into the car he demands I change the station to number 6 which is the classical station. They do a Mozart lunch hour every day that he really enjoys. At a stop light I made the mistake of trying to engage him in a conversation. He kept giving me dirty looks and not responding to any of my queries.

Future Missionary

My children are so different from Jared and I. Xander is already planning 13 years into the future. For about 6 months he has been saving up for this $30 shark LEGO set. He really likes it and talks about it regularly. He won't waste any money on anything. With his birthday he finally managed to save up enough money to make the purchase. Today, after picking him up from school I offered to take him to Toys R Us so he could make the purchase. He said no he wanted to wait a bit.

Some more . . .

A few days ago Elijah got in trouble. I gave him the consequence of no electronic games. You have to be very specific when you own as many electronics as we do. While Maxwell and Xander were playing Playstation, Elijah informed me it wasn't a very good punishment because he doesn't like Playstation anyway. I asked him what a better punishment would be. He asked if he came up with one could he play the Playstation. Of course the answer was no. I informed him if this wasn't a good enough punishment that we could add to it. Amazingly, no electronics became plenty of punishment.

Catch up . . .

Things are crazy around here with church, school, and family responsibilities. All 5 of us are wrapping up our semesters. Jared's finals are next week and mine is in 2 weeks. We enjoyed our trip to Utah in the beginning of November and even enjoyed a tiny family trip. We stayed the first night at Bryce Canyon in a hotel that has been there for over 90 years. Thursday morning we headed over to the canyon. All the boys were fine and really excited and then Maxwell started freaking out. He was bawling and saying it was dangerous.

Silly Jared

Silly Jared

Jared has such a fun personality. The pumpkins he put in his glasses would flash red. Many kids would have to stop and stare at him to figure out exactly how he was doing that. This is at our Halloween party. I will post more pix of the boys in their respective costumes.

Elijah's Homage to Veggie Tales

We have a lot of building toys for the boys - Legos, train tracks, etc. Elijah decided to shape his train track into Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales. Larry is a cucumber (not a pickle) and Bob is a tomato. The pic is from 8-20. I have a lot of catching up to do so I will be trying to post 3 or more pix a day.
