April at the Mesa Temple

April at the Mesa Temple

Maxwell and I met my mom at the temple grounds in April. It was a beautiful day and a really wonderful visit. We enjoyed having lunch at a downtown cafe and enjoyed seeing a special display of digital pictures from the life of Christ. (using actor's of course.) Maxwell and I were leaving for school that morning and I had put him in nicer clothes than usual. Some point between the car and preschool he got really dirty. I had to quickly go purchase a clean outfit before meeting my mom. Kids are dirt magnets especially when you want them to stay neat and clean.

I just love this picture.

This is New Year's Day 2008. It is amazing that we are now 2/3s of the way through the year. I love going to the beach in San Diego.

End of the Soccer Season. Facing a new beginning.

End of the Soccer Season. Facing a new beginning.

We are preparing to start soccer with practice supposed to be beginning next week. Our boys will be on 3 different teams with Elijah playing at a totally different location. I am happy for my kids to start soccer but dread the energy draining fast food lifestyle that is the byproduct of the schedule. Jared is expecting to coach Max in U6 and assist Xander's U8 team.

Crazy Hair Day the last week of school 2008.

I worked hard even using the blow dryer on their hair. Xander really wanted a mohawk and once Elijah saw it he wanted one too. I didn't post this picture before because red eyes drive me nuts. I need my red eye reduction in Gimp back.

Jared said to put this in . . .

Xander's teacher, Mrs. Davis, whispered to me as I was picking them up from school that she would love to have 58 Xander's in her class. She said he is just the right amount of excited and interested in learning and stuff. Parents never tire of hearing wonderful things about their kids. It is interesting to see how Xander brings out the protective, loving person in so many adults.

My Mom requested my Book Club list . . .

so I thought it wouldn't hurt to share with everyone. Plus it gives me a place to keep track of the schedule that I most likely will not lose. If anyone has book suggestions please leave the title and author in comments, maybe even a why you like it. My main thing is I like my fiction books to be PG or cleaner and my non-fiction can be PG-13 or cleaner as long as it is not gratuitous. I had taken up reading Young Adult books as I was scared to go in the Adult section of the library after some shocking reading experiences.

Maxwell has turned into a nonstop chatterbox.

It is interesting to watch just how long I get to use the computer before he comes over and talks my ears off. Even now after his brothers and dad are home. He usually spits out 5 or 6 sentences before taking a pause. (And yes I know some of you are thinking that sounds like Sara) Maxwell was cleaning up today so we could play Wii and he started talking, "I don't have to clean up those shoes. Those aren't my shoes. Those are Dad's shoes. I think I will clean up those shoes cuz that would be nice." and then he proceeded to move Dad's shoes into our bedroom.

My favorite things continued . . .

my favorite animai is a eiephant and a monkey,

Let see how it works out today.

Maxwell is currently drawing and doing a webkinz battle in a notebook at the table. We will see how long this lasts.

When we told the boys about Brooke's broken arm Elijah said, "oooo lucky!" We were concerned he was referring to the broken arm and were relieved when the part of the story that interested him was that Brooke got to play soccer at recess and they don't get to play soccer at recess at his school.

Today Max has been driving me crazy!

I was trying to catch up on the computer this morning since I did not check emails or do anything yesterday! Max sat next to me harassing me for the computer the whole time. Finally I gave up on being able to concentrate and let him have the computer. Now that I have it back he is again back to harassing me. The poor kid has only an old, boring, sometimes busy adult for entertainment during the day. Yesterday Max and I went to my sister Carey's house. Carey let me use her sewing machine and sat next to me talking me through it the whole time.
