Maxwell got a camera for Christmas

The upper left corner will feature the photos taken by Maxwell. If you click on it you will be taken to his album and get to read his descriptions. I think he is talented and will become the photographer Jared and I always wanted to be.

Bow & Arrow

Next time, he should be more specific

Oh What a Day!

Well, we had to do the house inspection today which is kind of a boring with exciting undertones way to spend Christmas Eve. Jared (with a bit of my help) needed to measure the house so we could get started on figuring out the carpet. We will probably head to Lowe's on Saturday. We were at the house for over 3 1/2 hours. We officially start our 10 day period tomorrow. Our last day will be the 3rd of January.

Merry Christmas Eve!

We have a home inspection scheduled for today on the house we are hopefully going to succeed at buying. We still don't have the signed contract and now the Seller's Agent and our agent are trying to figure out a way to get the carpet for the house. We probably will be doing the ordering of the new carpets with the selling bank paying up to $3000 for it. This has to be complete before it closes so if we were to buy anything over the $3000 we would risk losing our money. It also makes it so we have to get the carpet in before we can paint, clean, and repair, but we will take what we can get.

Yesterday I wrote this long entry.

It got erased. I have issues with trying to write about the same things twice so here I go anyway.

Offer Accepted -- Paper Work Today

Supposedly, the bank has accepted our offer and we will send the paperwork today. The status of the house went from "Active" to "Pending" over the weekend and completely freaked us out. Agents never change the status on weekends and since we hadn't signed any paperwork, I thought we got outbid again. We found out yesterday that it went to pending because of us and that the bank should send the contract today.

Home Buying - Round 6 - Update

On Monday this week, we put an aggressive offer on the house that Sara wrote about earlier.

On Wednesday, the seller's agent responded saying they had multiple offers on the house and that everyone needs to submit their very best offer by noon the following day. We believed our offer was more than sufficient, so we remained firm. Plus, the email they sent looked like a canned response -- they probably respond this way to every offer they get.

On Friday, we heard back from the Seller's agent; they asked if we'd be willing to double our earnest money. Sound familiar? We agreed to their new terms, but there is still no signed contract. We should find out more early next week....

Hello.

Well, the boys and Jared only have 3 more days. Tomorrow I get to go to Maxwell's Author's Tea for his Summative and on Thursday we go to Elijah's Summative. Tonight we go to Xander first Cub Scout Meeting. It is a Pack Meeting so we all get (have) to go.

And so it is Christmas . . .

Last night we decorated the tree and listened to Chipmunks' Christmas. It was fun watching all three kids dancing and singing. We also decorated Maxwell's little tree. Last year he asked Santa for his own Christmas tree. This year he was quite pushy for me to find his tree out of all of the decorations. For Christmas this year he wants tiny ball ornaments to go on his tree.

Quite the Ladies' Man

Yesterday at pick-up, Xander's teacher Mrs. Davis wanted to tell me about our little ladies' man. This isn't much of a surprise to us, but it is still funny to hear from other people. Xander has multiple ladies at school. He walks around holding hands with them, sat on the bus (on a field trip) holding hands across the aisle, holding hands on the way to pick-up Max from Kindergarten, basically holding hands with any girl at any time that he can. Mrs. Davis also said that Xander knows he's a ladies' man and has this smile/look on his face while holding hands.
