Just another day in January

So today I returned Elijah and Xander to school and we were on time! To many I know that is not that big of an accomplishment, but I am so not a morning person and the most important part of us being on time is me rolling myself out of bed early enough to pack lunches and guide the boys in getting ready. (More like drill sergeant) Although today things went smoothly, no yelling, and all kids made it out the door clean, fully dressed, teeth brushed, and hair combed. One important addition we made to their room is an alarm clock.

Another anecdote

Well . . . the joy of being in Primary with my kids is that I get to hear all of the Sharing Times and see their reactions. Today, and really I don't understand how or why, in Junior Primary, the counselor broached the subject of tattoos. Xander emphatically nodded yes or no to the questions posed about tattoos. I don't remember the specifics, but his answers were church correct and were the responses the instructor was seeking.

It's my anniversary!

Yea for 11 years. I have always found it laughable when couples who have been together for less than a year are asked for advice about making it work. In 11 years of marriage I think I have little advice about making it work. The only things I can think of off the top of my head is both people have to be 200% committed to staying married and it helps if both people choose for themselves to be happy. But advice is not the purpose of this blog entry.
