E.T's birthday

It's crazy to think that just over 9 years ago Jared and I became parents.

Birthday quotes:

Elijah said, "I'm so excited, I can't sleep!" last night. He kept coming out of bed and he was up bright and extra early this morning to make sure he was awake for his official birth time.

This morning on the drive back from Dunkin' Donuts Elijah said, "I've only done things I like today. I like taking baths. I like making birthday crowns, and I like going to Dunkin' Donuts."

I had gotten a free pass for 4 to the AMY. I found out that it was geared more for the younger set so I invited Carey, Brig and Lucy along. We had a blast. I always have a happy time with Brigham.

We had the Baileys over for dinner after General Conference. It was great to have family over for dinner. I learned what things I need to acquire before I invite friends over for dinner. Also we always have fun with the Baileys!

We really enjoy dying Easter eggs. I would hard boil 5 dozen eggs to dye them if I thought we could eat even half that much.

I wrote about going to this game earlier. It has been a long time since I asked Jared to get the pix off of the camera. I love going to the games with the family.

First Day of Summer Vacation

We went to ILPs today after Maxwell's swim lessons. Elijah did awesome on the standardized testing per usual. They both got excellent grades A's with only 1 B between them. Elijah would have had all A's except he didn't want to do one assignment properly and he got a super low grade on it which messed up the whole thing. It was a high B though. It would have been a B+ if there were such a thing.

Summertime . . . Almost!

The boys have 3 more days of school including today. I think mostly fun is on the agenda for these last few days. You would think I would be celebrating sleeping in but being super smart I scheduled Maxwell's swim lessons at 8:30 so I still have to wake up early until we get back from vacation. Our vacation makes it so I can't sign up the other boys for swim lessons at all this year. We only have 2 weeks school free after we get back. Oh the joys of modified year round.

Elijah Writes Maxwell's FHE Lesson

Elijah wrote Maxwell's FHE lesson tonight. Apparently, Maxwell was goofing off a bit, so Elijah took the liberty to write Maxwell's testimony as well. This is what Elijah wrote:

E.T. Summative

Wednesday we went to Elijah's Summative. The 3-4 students created an Arizona Visitor's Center and wrote some AZ promoting jingles. It was a lot of fun. I love to learn more about the exciting things there are to do and see in this state. Elijah also really enjoyed this unit and spent the whole quarter trying to keep details a secret from us. Elijah specifically worked on the Prescott portion of the Visitor's Center. He also made a calendar about Arizona that we got to keep. I love seeing a culmination of his efforts at school.

All about me . . .

So I am going to take a few moments to vent about my life. I am a little mad at 8 or so medical professionals that I have been dealing with for nearly 5 years now. It will get personal and maybe gross to some of the men who are faint of heart. In September nearly a year after Maxwell was born, Jared and I decided we weren't ready to have anymore kids but he wasn't ready to make a permanent decision. We are rather fertile people considering we were pregnant 4 times in the first 5 years of our marriage. Only 3 resulted in children if you are counting.
