I think there is some bacteria on my chicken

Maxwell, trying to get out of eating his dinner, tells Sara, "Mom, I think there is some bacteria on my chicken!"

Hi, I'm Jared

Nice to meet you. Sara asked me to write more in our blog, so I'm going to give it a whirl -- prepare for boredom. Sara experiences all the fun with the kids; I just go to work and make websites.

hello world

for Elijah's birthday he got a book about programming .It was called hello world .HELLO WORLD TAUGHT US LOTS of stuff about programming but were not finished yet .I like programming a lot and we will still do it a lot and much more.

My first day of school

during my first day of school I got pokemon cards. I made a friend that had cochlear inplants. we had indoor recess and lunch. then we played a get to know game.

I have nothing to name this yet.

I got my first Caught Ya' today. I told the whole class without being asked that "Center Time" would be a good time to use the restroom and my teacher handed me a "Caught Ya' being good!". I felt good and that's all.

First Day of School

Each of the boys are telling me about their first days of school and I am typing for them in the third person.

Xander's first day of school was awesome! First, he got to meet new people. He met Robert and Phineus. His friend from Kindergarten who moved away, Jericho, was in his class today. Then he got to go to recess. He did "freeze dance". He likes his teachers. He has a new teacher, Mrs. LaFevre. He learned about the beach today and that is what they are doing for summative. His teachers gave him a pen and some stickers. He got a note that said "Show and Tell tomorrow." and that's all.

Faith

Today I had to teach Gospel Essentials/Principles, whatever it is. Fortunately Jared was kind enough to come with me because for the first 15 minutes we were the only 2 there. Slowly the other two sister ward missionaries came in and we asked a friend in the hall to join us. This time the lesson was on Faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ which is a billion times easier than preparing a lesson on the Priesthood. It worked out nice and was a great topic for me as I am preparing to share my baby with the world.

House Full of Geek Speak

For Elijah's birthday, I bought him the book "Hello World! Computer Programming for Kids and Other Beginners." The three boys and I are reading it together and writing little computer programs. So far, it's been a pretty big hit with all three boys.

Throughout dinner tonight, all we heard were robot voices saying: "Syntax Error. Syntax Error in Python. I command you. You are now under my command. Access Denied. Print error."

My talk

this is my talk. hi I've been asked to give a talk about strengthening families. Ways we can help strengthen families are: by leading F.H.E. or family prayer. We can also: sing primary songs, not fight, or be obedient. a thing our family does together is being sealed to each other in the temple. here are some pictures of the temple. If you keep the sabbath day holy you will be blessed with a strong family.

Wishes

When we were at Temple Square, Uncle Steve gave each of the kids a wishing penny. Much to my laughter, Maxwell "changed" his wish after the initial toss to his mom and dad having another baby. Tonight at dinner, Maxwell informed Jared and I that he again "changed" his wish. Now he wants to have "The Force." It looks like Jared and I are off the hook.
