Testing the Printer

To explain the big butt thing: Dad and Elijah were trying to get the new printer to work from Dad's netbook. Jared did a test page that said in giant print: "Elijah has a big o' butt!" Xander and Maxwell found this and thought it was hilarious and it went from there. As usual, Jared started it.

The baptism is currently scheduled for January 2nd. I am working with my bishop to postpone this out a bit. The Bishop also has to clear it with the Stake President. Xander is the only baptism scheduled for January. We are trying to make it into a cousins' baptism. Seth, Xander's best friend ever, turns 8 on January 10th. I don't have as much say in when Xander's baptism will be as you all seem to think I have. I can only suggest to the Bishop that a holiday weekend baptism may not be the easiest thing and ask if we can push it out a bit.

The baptism of my son is not the highest of priorities for my bishop as you can imagine. His calling is huge and he runs his own business and has been traveling for work a lot lately. Even when he figures out what he or one of the other bishopric members can do they have to clear it with the Stake President. They also have to find a time when the building can be a reverent place. Even though I am completely responsible for the planning of Xander's baptism since that is what they do when there is only one child I don't just get to say when I want to have it.

I understand everyone is trying to figure out there schedules way ahead of time. I promise that as soon as I know anything I will post it here.

I am also excited my niece, Andie, was born on Monday. She is super small, starting at 5 lbs, and having breathing issues. We love the Russons and can't wait to meet her and hope she gets to leave the hospital soon. We didn't want the kids to worry, but we still wanted Andie included in our family prayers, so we told them Andie was having a hard time because she was small and to bless her body to be strong and grow. Usually whatever we ask for gets shortened quite a bit.

Have you noticed the tweets to the right left of the blog? Jared is keeping up with any funny quotes from the boys and has even threatened to start including me. I balked at that.

Thank you for the prayers!

We get to take Andie home from the hospital tomorrow! She will have to be on oxygen for a couple weeks, and an apnea monitor for a few months, but everything is looking really good! We are excited to have her home, and we are excited for her to meet her Aunt, Uncle, and cousins!

No buts about it...

Well, I don't think any of you have a big butt--so there!

Also, thanks for all the sweet prayers for Andie. She is doing much better today. And, you probably already know this, but she is scheduled to leave the hospital tomorrow. Our family has much to be thankful for.

As far as Xander's baptism is concerned, we would be happy to come even on January 2nd--I don't mind that it is a holiday weekend. Let us know as soon as possible, though, because Ross had to ask for work off. Hopefully, it won't be a problem, but more time is also helpful.

I also need much advanced warning to get Xander's baptism blanket finished :-P. I am really excited about it, though. I can't wait for Xander to see it.

One more thing about Xander's baptism date. Don't forget that Andie is getting blessed on February 7th. I know Steph and Bryce really want you guys to be here with us for that. I also have invited Charles and Connie to come to the blessing. (I plan to invite them to Xander's baptixm, once you have confirmed the date).

By the way, I love Elijah's outlook on the swine flu. You have such cute kids; I can't wait to come see you guys! Love you. Mom
