15 Minutes of Silence

A few years back, Sara started an interesting Halloween tradition. After lunch and dinner on the days following Halloween, the boys get 15 minutes to gobble down as much of their Halloween candy as they possibly can. They grab their huge bags of candy, head to the table, set the timer for 15 minutes, and pig out. It's pretty much the only time during the day that there is silence.

The boys have this routine down to a science. They take turns checking the timer so each of them have equal time to eat. They relay the amount of time they have left with hand signals because their mouths are too full to speak. They save the biggest candy for the final seconds so that once the buzzer goes off they can milk a couple more minutes to finish off the opened candy.

Too much fun for sure!
