Home Buying Nightmare: Strikes 4 & 5
I'm starting to believe that we're not meant to own a home. We put in an offer on a home in Chandler earlier this week, but were outbid. So, we put in another offer on a Phoenix home yesterday and just found out that we were outbid again. Both offers were above the asking price. We are backups if their current buyers can't perform, but guess who's not holding his breath.
Hey look, they wrote an article about us:
Closing a deal in a desirable neighborhood can be hard to do. Many aspiring homeowners have lost out to all-cash bidders.
Tell me about it.

Elijah is trying to convince his dad that it's not too cold to swim by jumping in, waving to his dad, and then quickly jumping out
Xander wandered off at Lowe's and had to get an employee to call for his parents over the loud speaker.
Jared wonders if he can have his paycheck direct-deposited into Lowe's bank account.
Maxwell will reduce global warming by not playing the Wii because it gives off heat. Well, he won't play THAT much.
I am especially disappointed about the second house we lost this week. It was truly our fantasy house and there was only one other bid. It is easier when you lose and there are lots of bids or the bank starts a bidding war, but when the bank is playing fair and fast and you lose to one it really sucks. We bid for it really expecting not to get it, but thinking there would be tons of bids on it and that the bank would spend a week gathering bids. The bank took bids for less than 24 hours, refused investor bids, and this is brutal.
