Yesterday I wrote this long entry.

It got erased. I have issues with trying to write about the same things twice so here I go anyway.

Friday we were lucky enough to be invited to see the Temple Lights with the Baileys. Carey made delicious hot white chocolate and cinnamon rolls. We weren't planning on going until tonight because of the weekend busyness, but we're glad for the invite. The Friday night performers were really great and free cinnamon rolls and hot chocolate on the Temple grounds is always great. I am always amazed at how magical the Temple lights are every time we have seen them. Maybe one year we will toughen up and check out the lights at the Salt Lake Temple, but no promises so no one get excited.

I was also surprised to find that Jacob is quickly catching up to me in height. He will probably be taller than me the next time I see him. At Thanksgiving he was still shorter than Carey. At Christmas he was taller than Carey and I imagine he will be taller than me and catching up to Jared by the baptism. Crazy! He is really turning into a good looking young man. He was surprised by the revelation that taller girls usually don't date shorter boys when I told him he was lucky he was going to be so tall so he could have his pick of the ladies. He will be dating in less than 2 years. I remember fondly holding that little red-headed baby in what seems like such a short time ago.

Sunday night we were invited over to the Baileys for Christmas dinner. Todd made the ham, which was the best ham I ever had. Carey made the bread and all rotten potatoes which rocked. I made green beans and roasted broccoli. For dessert I made 3 delicious treats. Chocolate Chip Mint Cheesecake, Tres Cocos Cake, and a Canadian treat I can't pronounce even if I remembered the name. I spent Saturday baking and preparing as well as cleaning and doing laundry. I really enjoyed the baking. I haven't been able to bake like that in a long time. I only brought one dessert to Thanksgiving so this was an improvement.

Tres Cocos or Better Than Better Than Cake

Unpronounceable but delicious Canadian Treat

All of these were awesome and easy to make. They were great in that you can make them all a day ahead of time. The Tres Cocos cake has improved every single day and it started out really good.
